WELCOME TO PET LOVERS ON LINE
Initially concentrating on Cumbria and Lancashire

There is no information on BREEDING your pets on these pages as I feel there are enough unwanted animals in the world and I am a great advocate of having your pets neutered

Good news for Pets
The Animal Welfare Act has come into force. One of the key elements of the Animal Welfare Act is that owners will have a legal responsibility to meet the welfare needs of their pets including: a proper diet (including water), somewhere suitable to live, a need to be housed with, or apart from, other animals, ability to express normal behaviour, protection from pain, suffering, injury and disease. Find out more about the Animal Welfare Act

There are lots of local rescue centres desperately looking for new homes for the unwanted pets in their care. Before you go out and buy a pet, please consider contacting them first. They just might have that special companion you are looking for to share your home and your life.

A website which has been created to let you know where your cannine friends are welcome - well worth a visit!!

The author of this Web Site is a fanatical animal lover. My ever suffering husband could cope no more.  He has divorced me and his grounds were my unreasonable behaviour for my love of animals! He has since married a Ukranian Girl, 20+ years his junior, who can't speak English, and he promptly bought her a cat!!! I currently have 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 chinchillas, 3 rabbits, 3 guinea pigs and loads of goldfish in the pond.  Over the years I have cared for many different pets and have created this site to share some of my experiences and to alert people to issues and problems that effect us pet lovers, with particular emphasis on enhancing our pets lives as much as we can. I have been on TV twice, Granada Action appealing for Volunteers for Animal Care, and This Morning with Fern Britain and John Lesley on a pampered pet debate. I have also been a guest speaker on Radio 5 Live, again about pampered pets, and was invited as a telephone guest on Living's Loose Lip with Melinda Messenger and Richard Arnold, and on the Anita Anand programme regarding licences for pets. I do a lot of volunteer work for my local animal charity, Animal Care which I am currently Chairperson of. The Pet Care Pages introduces you to good basic information, with lots of useful links to other sites. Please visit it before you purchase your new pet. I hope you enjoy your visit.
