RSPCA RSPCA - 0300 1234 999 - will assist with most rescue problems.  However, please be aware you will probably get in a long queue - be patient and don't give up, especially if it relates to a cruelty issue.

Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary, Essex. This is a wonderful site to visit and support. They have taken in over 200 animals including horses - chinchillas.
