Quarantine is no longer required for animals who have been micro chipped, vaccinated against rabies and are residents in DEFRA (MAFF) approved European countries. This news is like breathing a breath of fresh air.

However, six months quarantine is still applicable from non-DEFRA approved countries.
DEFRA do have a list of Quarantine Kennels and a Voluntary Code of Practice for them to follow BUT IT IS NOT COMPULSORY, so it really is worth doing your research to find your animal the best kennels possible in which it is to spend six months of its life. I got an information pack from:-
